Abstract

The present utility model generally relates to the processing of root crops, and more particularly to a composition of flavored Asiatic yam (Dioscorea esculenta) chips. The composition comprising of: 1000 grams of Asiatic yam (Dioscorea esculenta) tuber slices cut uniformly to 2 millimeters thickness and 30 grams of flavoring selected from cheese or barbecue. The utility model diversifies the raw materials for snack foods, thereby enhancing food security by reducing reliance on a single crop and offering consumers a novel and nutritious alternative to traditional potato-based snacks.
