Angular welding fixture

Abstract

An angular welding fixture comprising an angular support bar defined by two Lshaped members joined at their 45-degree cut ends to form a 90-degree corner secured by weld joint, a pair of L-shaped clamping arms fixedly mounted near opposite end sections of the horizontal flange, a threaded hole at midpoint of each vertical flange of said clamping arms, a hex bolt with a blunt flat end screwably inserted into the threaded hole to exert pressure to secure prismatic workpieces, a rectangular turn handle attached to each hex bolt and an alignment guide member defined by an etched reference line along the weld joint for positioning the adjoining ends of prismatic workpieces. Generally, most conventional clamping tools are fixed to workbenches or flat surfaces, limiting angular positioning. The objective of the utility model is to secure and align the workpieces at a 90-degree orientation without a fixed mounting surface.
