Manual nerve activator

Abstract

The present utility model relates to a manual nerve activator. The manual nerve activator comprises an elongated rigid body having a textured central grip a proximal spherical head of relatively large radius, and a distal tapered section terminating in a second spherical tip of smaller radius. The dual-geometry ends provide selectable broad and focal percussive stimulation for eliciting tendon reflexes and assessing nerve response. The device is preferably machined from sterilizable metal and provides a simple, durable, low-cost alternative to spring loaded or electronic impulse instruments.
