Abstract

The present utility model relates to a composition for a matrix reference material (RM) for use in validation of analytical methods, and proficiency testing schemes used in monitoring levels of heavy metal contaminants in a mollusk tissue, the composition comprising a powdered mollusk tissue spiked with heavy metals. The present utility model aims to solve the problem of unreliable analytics results driven by the difficulty in method validation and quality assurance of testing facilities within the country, by providing a composition for matrix reference materials from mussels.
