Abstract
The present utility model relates to a composition of charcoal briquettes derived from biomass materials. The composition comprises biochar obtained from water hyacinth, falcata wood residues, and coconut shells, combined with dried and ground desiccated coconut and dried and ground giant swamp taro peels. The briquette composition includes 20% by weight biochar from water hyacinth, 60% by weight biochar from falcata, 12% by weight biochar from coconut shell, 5% by weight dried desiccated coconut, and 3% by weight dried giant swamp taro peels sieved through an #80 mesh. The composition utilizes underutilized agricultural and aquatic biomass wastes to produce a renewable solid fuel with improved combustion efficiency, structural integrity, and reduced environmental impact. The resulting briquettes provide a sustainable alternative to conventional charcoal while promoting biomass waste valorization.
