A method for installing structural precast concrete panels

Abstract

A method for installing structural precast concrete wall panels utilizes spaced-apart supporting posts and a horizontal alignment device. The installation involves assembling a first row of first and second panel members that feature smooth outer surfaces and upper and lower channels. Adjustable clamps temporarily secure the alignment device, clips and the first panel members to the posts. Connector spacers are then positioned on the upper corner edges of the panels to rigidly connect adjoining panels. Concrete mix is subsequently poured into this first row of panels. Succeeding rows of panels, aligned with successive alignment devices, are installed and connected with succeeding spacers stacked over the initial row. Succeeding concrete mix is poured into at least every two succeeding rows to create a continuous, rigid, and integrated precast concrete wall structure.
