Abstract

A process for producing an eggshell and calamansi (Citrofortunella microcarpa) cleaning powder is disclosed. The process comprises washing eggshells, boiling the washed eggshells in a water and vinegar mixture to disinfect them, drying the eggshells at a temperature not exceeding 120°C, and grinding and sifting the dried eggshells into an eggshell powder. Calamansi fruit is sliced, deseeded, dehydrated, and ground into a dehydrated calamansi powder. The eggshell powder, sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), and dehydrated calamansi powder are then dry-mixed to obtain the cleaning powder, which is a non-toxic, biodegradable mild abrasive that provides an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional chemical cleaning agents.
