Abstract
A process for preparing a topical ointment composition in stick form is disclosed. Shea butter, virgin coconut oil, and beeswax are melted together with stirring to form a molten base. The molten base is cooled, after which lemongrass essential oil is added and stirred to form a homogeneous mixture. The mixture is poured into a stick mold and allowed to solidify. Adding the lemongrass essential oil to the cooled base preserves its volatile constituents.
