A new composition containing ispaghol for various stomach disorders

Abstract

A new composition is developed for Ispaghol Plus comprising of 50% dry, powdered pulp of Aegle marmelos Correa (Bael fruit, the active ingredient), 49.5% Plantago ovata Forssk (Ispaghula husk) and 0.5% olive oil. The composition is useful in the treatment of various gastrointestinal disorders especially gastric ulcer and gastritis. All ingredients are easily available and the composition is economically feasible. This is a new composition made from indigenous plant materials.
