A process for preparation of chromium complex.

Abstract

This invention relates to a process for preparation of chromium complex comprising steps of reaction between 14.1270gm of [Cr C12 (H2O)4]Cl. 2H20 and 6.32ml of concentrated ammonium hydroxide solution. The precipitate of Chromium hydroxide has been washed thoroughly with distilled water for complete removal of chloride ions. For synthesis of new complex of chromium, a reaction among 5.46 gm freshly precipitated chromium hydroxide, 10.86 gm food grade monohydrate citric acid and 6.32 cm3 of concentrated ammonia solution with specific gravity of 0.88 gm / cm3 and percentage purity 35% has been carried out.
