The present invention discloses a compound of formula (1) or formula (II), as inhibitor of human casein kinase IE and methods for using said compound for treating central nervous system diseases and disorders including mood disorders and sleep disorders. Pharmaceutical composition comprising the compound of formula (I) or formula (II) and a method for the preparation of compound of formula (1) or formula (II) are also disclosed.
