Water supply system for poultry flock, at optimal temperature utilizing subsoil stable temperature.

Abstract

Water Supply System for poultry flock wherein water is supplied at an optimal temperature irrespective of the ambient temperature. The innovative feature of the device lies in the fact that the water supplied to the flock maintains a temperature most suitable for the bird's health. The said feature is achieved by connecting the water supply conduit 1 with a Tube-in-Shell heat exchanger 9 immersed in waterbed 11 deep down the soil where a constant subsoil temperature of 25 ± 1°C is found at Chichawatni Punjab Pakistan. This temperature; 25 to 26 degree centigrade is most suitable for poultry flock. Heat is exchanged in between the incoming water and the subsoil water through the Tube-in-Shell heat exchanger 9. As a result water looses or gains the heat to achieve the optimal temperature. The outgoing end 12 of the heat exchanger 9 is connected to the water cistern 5 from where the water at an optimal temperature is supplied to the drinkers 10.
