Abstract

This invention relates to a process for the detection of cytochrome P450 2D6 gene variants in the human genomic DNA comprising steps of adding 17.7 µL of water, 2.5 [µL of buffer 1 (1.5 mmol / L MgC12), 0.2 [µL of Gold Taq (5 U / µL), 0.5 µL of dNTP mixture (10 mmol / L), 0.3µL of primer 1, 0.75 µL of primer 2, 0.75 µL of primer 3, 0.3 µL of primer 4, and 2.0 µL of genomic DNA (;50 ng / µL), and setting cycling conditions of 10 min at 94 °C, followed by 20 cycles (first set) of 94 °C for 30 s, 63 °C for 30 s, and 72 °C for 60 s; 27 cycles (second set) of 94 °C for 30 s, 53 °C for 30 s, and 72 °C for 60 s; and a final extension of 7 min at 72 °C and using (a) Primer sequence 1, 2, 3 and 4 for the detection of *1*1, *1 *,3 and *3 *3 genotype (b) Primer sequence 5, 6, 7 and 8 for the detection of *1*1, *1*4, and *4*4 genotype (c) Primer sequence 5, 8, 9 and 10 for the detection of *1*1, *1*6, and *6*6 genotype and (d) Primer sequence 11, 12, 13 and 4 for the detection of *1*1, *1*5, and *5*5 genotype.
