Abstract
The present invention discloses a compound of formula I or II: which inhibits serine protease activity, particularly the activity of hepatitis C virus (HCV) NS3-NS4A protease. Consequently, the compound of the present invention interferes with the life cycle of the hepatitis C virus and is also useful as antiviral agent. The present invention further relates to pharmaceutical composition comprising the aforementioned compound for administration to a subject suffering from HCV infection.
