Process for the preparation of substituted 2-(2,6-dioxopiperidin-3-yl)-1-oxoisoindoline

Abstract

The present invention concerns new process for the preparation of substituted 2-(2,6-dioxopiperidin-3-y1)-1-oxoisoindoline. The invention provides process for the commercial production of substituted 2-(2,6-dioxopiperidin-3-y1)-1-oxoisoindoline including, but not limited to, the therapeutically active 3-(4-amino-l-oxoisoindolin-2-yl)piperidine-2,6 dione.
