Abstract

Efficacy of three entomopathogenic nematode species viz., Steinernema abbasi; S. siamkayai and Heterorhabditis bacteriophora were examined in laboratory against subterranean termite Microtermis spp. Suspension of above mentioned species were applied directly to the termites placed in Petri plates. All EPN species were effective at the rate of 50-200 infective stage juveniles / ml by pouring directly to the termites. Nematodes were able to reproduce on Microtermis spp., at 25 ±2 °C after 12-24h.
