Abstract

The present invention is directed to providing a salt of a novel benzamidazole compound selected from the following group consisting of 2-(((4-((5,5-dimethy1-1,3-dioxan-2yl)mothoxy)-3-methylpyridi n-2-yl)methyl)sulfiny1)-1HbenzImidazo1e, 2-(((4-(5,7-dioxaspiro[2.5]oct-6ylmethoxy)-3-methylpyridin-2 -yl)methyl)sulfinyl)-1H-benzimidazole, 2-(((3-methy1-4-(1,5(9trioxa5piro[5.5]undec-3ylmethoxy)pyri din-2-yl)methyl)sulfinyl)-1Hbenzimidazole and 2-(((4-((2,2-dimethyl-1,3-dioxan-5yl)methoxy)-3,5-dimethylpy ridin-2-yl)methyl)sulfinyl)-1Hbenzimidazo1e. useful as a therapeutic agent or prophylactic agent for acid-related diseases, which highly inhibits gastric acid secretion, more persistently inhibits gastric acid secretion, and is appropriately physicochemically stable.
