A Process of textile dyeing and finishing through ozone treatment

Abstract

This novel process is related to performance enhancement of textile dyeing and finishing by the use of ozone treatment. Ozone treatment is used onto the textile at three stages; pre-ozonation, in-situ ozonation and post-ozonation with success. In the case of preozonation, fabric is first exposed to ozone and then its dyeing or finishing is performed. In the second case of in-situ ozonation, ozonation and dyeing or finishing is performed simultaneously. While in the third case of post- ozonation, fabric is first dyed / finished and then it is exposed to ozonation. In either case of ozonation there was significant improvement in color strength, shade depth, fastness properties and performance properties of the ozone exposed textile.
