Epoxy -based UV -vis -curable encapsulant composition

Abstract

The invention relates to the field of UV-VIS curable composition comprising: a) 20-50 wt.% of at least one aromatic epoxide monomers or aromatic epoxide oligomer or a mixture thereof; b) 420 wt.% of at least one epoxylated polyene; c) 16-35 wt.% of at least one organic filler or inorganic filler or a mixture thereof; d) 0.1-10 wt.% of at least one cationic photoinitiator, e) 0-30 wt.% of at least one cationically curable cyclic compound, different from a) and b); f) 0-30 wt.% of at least one further additive selected from the group consisting of photosensitizers, surfactants, adhesion promoters and mixtures thereof wherein the additive f) is different from the components a) to e); and wherein the UV- VIS-curable encapsulant composition has a viscosity of about 60000 m.Pas to about 120000 m.Pas at 25°C; and wherein the weight percents are based on the total weight of the UV-VIS-curable encapsulant composition. The invention further relates to an inkjet printheard containing said composition and a method for manufacturing the same.
