Abstract
This invention relates to a triplex fluorogenic probe-based real-time quantitative PCR (RT-qPCR) assay for detection of SARS-CoV-2 in human samples. The assay simultaneously amplifies Envelope (E) gene and RNA-dependent RNA polymerase (RdRp) gene of SARS-CoV-2 along with a human RNase P internal control in a single reaction. Specific primer and probe sequences enable sensitive and specific detection suitable for in-vitro diagnostic applications.
