A condensing unit and a traversing device for a drafting unit

Abstract

A condensing unit and a traversing device for a textile machine are described. The condensing unit comprises at least one condensing channel for a fibre strand drafted to its final size and at least one means for coupling the condensing unit to a traversing device which is movable in longitudinal direction of the drafting rollers. The condensing unit comprises at least one guiding surface for a fibre strand in the main drafting zone. The traversing device comprises an element for coupling the traversing device to a movable rail extending parallel to the drafting rollers as well as a connecting arm for coupling to the condensing unit. The connecting arm is connected to at least one feed condenser and to at least one preliminary draft condenser.
