Composition for ameliorating hypoalbuminemia.

Abstract

The present invention pertains to a composition for ameliorating hypoalbuminemia containing a branched-chain amino acid as an active ingredient, and is characterized by containing at least one selected from the group consisting of leucine and isoleucine as an active ingredient, and not containing valine. As the branched- chain amino acid, leucine and isoleucine may be included. The mass ratio of leucine relative to isoleucine is preferably no less than 0.1 and no greater than 10. As the branched-chain amino acid, only leucine or isoleucine may be included. The composition is suitably used in the form of an infusion preparation, an oral preparation or a food or drink.
