Cannulated ankle screw

Abstract

The subject of the application is a cannulated ankle screw. The cannulated ankle screw (1) has a shank (3) and a head (2). The shank (3) has a threaded portion (4) and an unthreaded portion (5). To improve the stability of the screw (1), its threaded portion (4) is conical. The threaded portion (4) is connected at its wider end to the unthreaded portion (5). The threaded portion (4) has an opening angle α of 12°. The entire screw (1) is cannulated, i.e., it has a central longitudinal hole with a diameter of 1.5 mm (6) throughout its entire cross-section.
