Central clamp assembly for mounting photovoltaic panels

Abstract

A center clamp assembly (1) for mounting photovoltaic panels is disclosed, suitable for mounting to the top of a support profile of a photovoltaic installation. The center clamp assembly (1) comprises a center clamp (2) provided with a clamp channel (21) and two side arms (22), wherein a mounting screw (3) with a hexagonal head (32) is mounted in the clamp channel (21). In the mounted photovoltaic installation, in a position below the top surface of the support profile, the center clamp assembly (1) is provided with a first lower washer (4) and a second lower washer (5), wherein below the second lower washer (5), the mounting screw (3) is secured by a nut (6). In the position of mounting of the center clamp assembly (1) to the top surface of the support profile, the shank (31) of the mounting screw (3) remains exposed.
