Grate assembly for fluidized bed boiler

Abstract

The subject of the application is a grate assembly for a fluidized bed boiler for use in the lower part of the combustion chamber of a fluidized bed power boiler. The solution improves the removal of material from the bottom of the fluidized bed of the power boiler. Air nozzles (7) are arranged above the grate (2), distributing fluidizing air from the air box (3) through air channels (8, 8'). The air nozzles (7) located above the discharge openings (5) are connected to the air box (3) by air channels (8') located near the discharge openings (5), on both sides thereof. The outer surface of each of the segments (4, 4') of the grate (2) has an upper profile (9) in the shape of a parabolic arm, the tip of which is located on the edge of the discharge opening (5) of the collection pocket (6) for removing bottom ash.
