Pipe with an internal protective coating for a flangeless pipe joint

Abstract

The application concerns the construction of a pipe with an internal protective coating for a flangeless pipe joint, used in particular in pipelines transporting corrosive media. The pipe (1) has at both ends (1a, 1b) circumferential edge grooves (5) made in the outer surface (6) of its shaft (7). The internal protective coating (2) of the pipe (1) has at each end (1a, 1b) a circumferential bend (2') covering the front surface (7') of the shaft (7), and its free end (2"), after being rolled back again, is permanently mounted in a circumferential recess (8) of the outer surface (6) of the shaft (7), made between the front surface (7') and the adjacent circumferential edge groove (5). The pipe (1) may have at each end (1a, 1b) an additional groove parallel to the edge groove (5).
