Abstract
A metal barrier membrane comprising a sheet of metal foil having elongated thin regions (110, 111, 112, 113, 114) and regular thin regions arranged in a pattern constituting a negative grid, wherein the length of the elongated thin regions (110, 111, 112, 113, 114) is greater than or equal to three times the dimension of the thin regular region, and the thin regions are arranged in a repeating pattern.
