Holder for astronomical measuring equipment

Abstract

The subject of the application is a holder for astronomical measuring equipment. It consists of an octagonal cage (6) for mounting an optical instrument, three bearing assemblies placed on perpendicular walls of the cage: a lower bearing assembly (3) and two side bearing assemblies perpendicular to each other, two drive systems: a drive system for the lower bearing assembly (1) and a drive system for the side bearing assemblies mounted to opposite sides of the cage in line with the lower bearing assembly (3) and in line with the side bearing assembly, respectively. Furthermore, the holder is equipped with a measuring system for the lower bearing assembly (9) and a measuring system for the side bearing assemblies.
