Abstract

The application concerns a mass flowmeter and mass flowmeter assembly designed to measure the mass flow rate of bulk materials and other flowable materials (e.g., grain, cement, sand) in primarily vertical conveying systems. The device is intended for production and processing plants that require material flow measurement at multiple stages of the production line. The application consists of a compact housing (1) with variable external dimensions, with an inlet end (2) located at the upper end and an outlet end (3) at the lower end. Inside the housing, below the inlet end, are a flow distributor (5) in the form of a separating cone and a centring ring (6) in the form of a cylindrical funnel, creating a flow conditioning area.Below this area is a measuring system (7) with a measuring element (8) (measuring cone or measuring ring) and at least one strain gauge sensor (9). A key design feature is that the surface area of ​​the inlet end opening (2) is less than or equal to the cross-sectional area at the base of the flow divider, at the lower edge of the centering ring, and at the lower edge of the measuring element – ​​this eliminates the risk of material blockage and ensures free flow.
