Combustion chamber of a power boiler with a mechanical grate for burning biomass

Abstract

The solution concerns the combustion chamber of a power boiler with a mechanical grate for biomass combustion, which enables effective post-combustion of the fuel, occurring in the last zone of the grate. The combustion chamber (1) of the power boiler with a mechanical shell grate (2) positioned horizontally within it has an ignition vault (3) and a post-combustion vault (4) located at the rear of the chamber. The combustion chamber (1) has several lower transport gas medium collectors (7) with directional blowing nozzles, positioned transversely to the direction of movement of the shell grate (2), which are mounted in an air box (5). Above the mechanical shell grate (2), upper transport gas medium collectors (11) with directional blowing nozzles are positioned transversely to the direction of movement of the mechanical shell grate (2), which are mounted to the post-combustion vault (4).
