Method of producing a wood-plastic element

Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of manufacturing a wood-plastic element, which consists in manufacturing, without the use of adhesives, an inseparably connected two-component element consisting of an external wooden structure with a plastic structure placed underneath.The method of manufacturing a wood-plastic element consisting of a wooden layer, inseparably connected with a plastic layer, consists in feeding a plastic heated to a temperature of 320°C, preferably previously dried, into the injection mould cavity, in which a wooden element is automatically placed, which is then poured into the injection moulding machine in the form of a powder, after which it is liquefied at a temperature of 280°C in a plasticising unit consisting of a piston placed inside a cylinder, after which the plastic is injected into the mould at a pressure of 400 MPa, where the plastic is distributed through several nozzles and a system of channels bored in the mould within 1 s under a pressure of 300 MPa, forming the shape of the finished element, after which the formed element is cooled for 60 s, which solidifies with the wooden layer, precisely reproducing its shape, and then the mould is opened and the obtained element is released from the mould automatically.
