Abstract

The subject of the application is a combustion engine supercharging system and a method for controlling this system. In the system, the housing (1) with a single-sided air filter (1.1) is connected via a pipe (2) of the engine fuel system and the intake manifold (3) to the combustion engine (4). The pipe (2) contains a vacuum sensor (5) in the intake system and a throttle valve (6) with a throttle position sensor (6.1). The system also includes an alternator (7). The alternator (7) is connected via an electromagnetic clutch (11) to the fan shaft (9), the outlet of which is connected via a pipe to the pipe (2) of the combustion engine fuel system. The method for controlling the combustion engine supercharging system involves reading the throttle valve position from the throttle valve position sensor and transmitting this information to the clutch, which activates the torque transfer from the alternator rotor axis to the fan shaft.
