Abstract

The subject of the application is a method of processing inorganic hazardous waste for the purpose of its neutralization, which consists in mixing inorganic hazardous waste in the form of fly ash and simultaneously subjecting it to the action of ultraviolet radiation (UV) with a wavelength of emitted light from 220 nm to 245 nm and ultrasound (US) with a frequency of at least 40 kHz, wherein the above operations are carried out in the reaction space of any device ensuring mixing, in an atmosphere of ozone O3 present in the reaction space, in the presence of catalysts, which are a solution of 30% hydrogen peroxide H2O2 in an amount of up to 15% of the mass of the waste and titanium dioxide TiO2 in an amount of up to 5.0% of the mass of the waste.
