Abstract
A hybrid seal with a ferromagnetic fluid for a rotating shaft is characterized in that a stationary flange bushing (3) with a flange (3a) facing the rotating shaft (1) is mounted in the stuffing box of the housing (2), on which a movable flange bushing (4) with a flange (4a) facing the housing (2) is mounted. On the left side of the flange (4a), on the cylindrical surface of the movable flange bushing (4), multi-edge movable pole pieces (6, 8) and annular permanent magnets (5, 7) with axial polarity are mounted, which adhere to the side surfaces of the central multi-edge movable pole piece (6) with like SS poles. On the inner side surface of the cover (10) attached to the housing (2), there is a socket in the form of an annular recess (10w), inside which an axially polarized annular permanent magnet (11) and a multi-edge stationary pole piece (12) are mounted. The ferromagnetic fluid (9) is located in the radial gaps (δ. r ) between the sealing projections of the multi-edge movable pole pieces (6, 8) and the inner cylindrical surface of the fixed flange bush (3), in the radial gaps (δ r ) between the sealing projections of the flange (4a) of the movable flange bushing (4) and the inner cylindrical surface of the fixed flange bushing (3) and in the axial gaps (δ a ) between the sealing projections of the multi-edge fixed pole piece (12) and the right-hand side surface of the flange (4a) of the movable flange bush (4).
