The subject of the application is a method for obtaining a soilless substrate for growing plants containing organic fibers and / or organic peat-based materials, characterized in that it comprises impregnating the organic fibers or organic peat-based materials with an activated isolate, wherein the isolate is a byproduct of fiberboard production, wherein the isolate is pre-activated with a free-radical polymerization initiator and then applied to the organic fibers and / or organic peat-based materials.
