Abstract

The subject of the application is a laser cutting machine for continuous cutting of sheet metal, particularly unwinding from coils or automatically fed in sheets, and a method for cutting and segregating waste and workpieces in a laser cutting machine. The cutting machine comprises loading and internal conveyors (5) moving linearly in the X axis direction with rotary support elements with a gap between them, a head assembly with a control system that moves over the sheet metal (1) in the gap area (C) dynamically in the X, Y, and Z axes, according to preset software. At least one lateral gripper (3) is slidably mounted on at least one side of the body, and the internal conveyor (5) is releasably connected to the unloading conveyor (10), which is a separate module connected directly to the internal conveyor (5) and moves linearly in both directions along the X direction thanks to the linear drive of the internal conveyor.In the working space under the loading and internal conveyors (5) there is an extraction unit (7), wherein the cutting machine comprises at least one module for receiving sorted details and / or waste, constituting the places for dropping these details and / or waste from the supporting elements of the linear conveyors of the cutting machine operating along the X axis. All stages and operations taking place in the machine are automated and controlled by external software, such as sheet metal movement, laser cutting, movement of the loading conveyor and rotation, movement of the internal conveyor and rotation, separation of details, separation of the frame, separation of waste, take place at the same time, without the need to stop the machine.
