Method for producing granulated perlite from perlite waste

Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for producing granulated perlite from perlite waste, which is characterized in that perlite dust and dolomite flour are introduced into a disc granulator in such an amount that the ratio of the volume of the introduced perlite dust to the volume of dolomite is in the range of 1 - 3, then granulation is carried out at the rotational speed of the granulator disc of 10 - 25 rpm for 5 - 20 minutes with simultaneous spraying of the granulated bed with an aqueous solution of lignosulfonate with a concentration of 30% - 90% as a moisturizing substance at a temperature of 10°C - 21°C, in the amount of 2 - 5 parts by weight per 10 parts by weight of the bed, then an additional portion of dolomite flour is applied to the bed flowing in the drum in the amount of 1 - 2 parts by weight per 10 parts by weight of the initially supplied perlite and dolomite flour and continue granulation for another 5 - 10 minutes.
