Abstract

An escapement mechanism comprising a balance wheel, a spring in the form of a spirally wound metal strip and a pinion, characterized in that it comprises a balance wheel (8) provided with a shifting finger (10), a spring (9), an escape plate (2), an escape wheel (3) provided with a pinion (7) and equipped with a ring of teeth (4) and a pinion (6) and an escape shaft (5), wherein the balance wheel (8), the escape plate (2) and the escape wheel (3) are mounted on a pinion (6), wherein the balance wheel (8) and the escape wheel (3) are provided with bearings (14, 43). The application also relates to a timepiece equipped with such an escapement mechanism.
