Climbing wall with a variable grip system and method of controlling the climbing wall

Abstract

The subject of the application is a climbing wall with a variable grip system and a method for controlling the climbing wall. The wall is characterized in that the grips (1) are mounted in plates (2) rotatably mounted in the climbing wall (3). Optionally, the plates (2) are coupled to the shafts of motors (4) mounted at the rear of the climbing wall (3) and connected to a controller (5). Optionally, pressure sensors (6) connected to the controller (5) are located in the grips (1). The method involves measuring the maximum reach of the climber's arms and legs, determining their level of physical fitness, and selecting the difficulty level of the climbing route. This data is then entered into a computing module, which, based on the data, determines the schedule for rotating the plates (2) and sends appropriate signals to the controller (5), which rotates the plates (2) via motors (4).Additionally, a given plate (2) is rotated so that the grip (1) mounted on it faces the front of the climbing wall (3), and after receiving information from the pressure sensor (6) about the load on this grip (1), the controller (5), via the motor (4), rotates the next selected plate (2) in the same manner on the climbing route. Optionally, after receiving information from the pressure sensor (6) about the cessation of load on a given grip (1) and after rotating the next selected plate (2) located on the climbing route, the controller (5), via the motor (4), rotates the given plate (2) so that the grip (1) mounted on it faces the rear of the climbing wall (3).
