Abstract
The subject of the application is an adaptive selective lighting system for the optical detection of vital signs, in particular for monitoring these parameters, regardless of the ambient lighting at the measurement site, including in complete darkness, especially in a home environment while the subject is sleeping. The system comprises a thermal radiation detector (10) with a surface illuminator in the form of a programmable computer projector (20) and a visible light camera (30) with a full spectral range, together forming a measuring head, which is connected to a programmable analyzer (40), wherein the measuring head is mounted on an arm (60) in such a way that the observed and illuminated surfaces overlap and correspond to the lighting zones (50) of the identified exposed parts of the subject's body, enabling the determination of the vital signs signal using the VPG videoplethysmography method.
