Abstract
The subject of the application is a method for producing polyols, which is carried out by placing 24 parts by weight of organosolv lignin, 90 to 120 parts by weight of glycidol, and 240 to 300 parts by weight of ethylene carbonate in a reactor, then mixing the reactor contents and simultaneously heating them to a temperature of 190°C. The reaction is carried out until the epoxy number is zero. The reaction mixture is then cooled to 70°C, after which 0.5 to 1.0 parts by weight of catalyst is introduced therein and the system is heated to a temperature of 150°C to 170°C while stirring and maintained at this temperature, while stirring, until the reaction is complete.
