Side window for land transport

Abstract

The subject of the application is a side window for means of land transport comprising a fixed glass module and a sliding glass module mounted in a window opening, wherein the fixed glass module mounted in the peripheral socket of the vehicle window opening consists of a window frame and a fixed window glass fitted therein, provided with a seal, and the sliding glass module mounted in the window frame of the fixed glass module comprises a sliding window glass provided with a seal and reinforcement ensuring the mobility of the sliding glass in the form of guides mounted on the edges of the sliding glass, characterized in that the window frame (4) consists of four sections (8) made of an epoxy-glass composite with a glass fiber content of not less than 60%, reinforced with continuous roving, which are cut at an angle of 45° and flexibly connected into the shape of the frame (4) by means of a flexible epoxy adhesive,and a composite plate (9) with a thickness of no more than 1.5 mm, made of epoxy composite with a carbon fiber content of no less than 60%, reinforced with carbon fabric, is glued to the outside of the window frame (4).
