Abstract

The subject of the application is an electrical energy storage system intended for temporarily storing surplus electricity produced and feeding it back to the power grid during an electricity deficit. The electrical energy storage system comprises a resonant cavity (1) in the shape of a cuboid with a square cross-section and the longer side oriented horizontally, made of copper and internally coated with a layer of superconductor with a high critical magnetic field induction value, preferably a layer of superconductor with the composition Nb0.79Al0.15Ge0.06. The resonant cavity (1) is placed inside a cryostat having a cuboid shape, corresponding in shape to the resonant cavity (1), wherein the cryostat consists of a tank (2) made of austenitic steel and externally coated with a thermally insulating layer (3), preferably made of polyurethane foam. The resonance cavity (1) is connected to the bottom of the tank (2) by four posts (4) made of electrically insulating material, while the tank (2) is attached to the ground by four brackets (5) made of structural steel. Inside the resonance cavity (1), a dipole-shaped antenna (6) is placed. The arms of the antenna (6) are parallel to the square walls that enclose the resonance cavity (1) at its ends, and the geometric centers of the dipole antenna (6) and the resonance cavity (1) coincide.
