Abstract

The subject of the application is an electrical energy storage system designed to temporarily store surplus electricity and feed it back into the power grid during power shortages. The system comprises a spherical resonance cavity (1) made of copper and internally coated with a layer of superconductor with a high critical magnetic field induction. The resonance cavity (1) is located inside a cryostat, also spherically shaped, concentric with the resonance cavity (1). The cryostat consists of a tank (2) made of austenitic steel and externally coated with a thermally insulating layer (3). The resonance cavity (1) is connected to the bottom of the tank (2) by four posts (4) made of an electrically insulating material. The tank (2) is attached to the substrate by four supports (5) made of structural steel.Inside the resonant cavity (1), an antenna (6) is placed, which is a single ring-shaped coil directed horizontally, and the geometric centers of the antenna ring (6) and the resonant cavity (1) coincide. The antenna (6) is made of a copper rod coated with a layer of a superconductor with a high critical magnetic field induction value. The antenna (6) is connected to terminals (7) made of a copper rod and having horizontal portions directed along the radius of the ring constituting the antenna (6) and vertical portions directed upwards.
