Abstract

A mass rail noise damper comprising a resonant steel element embedded in a flexible casing together with a substantially L-shaped, resilient, profiled fastening element is characterized in that the casing (1) is made of elastomeric materials, wherein a metal plate (3) having a recess (4) is adjacent to one of the sides of the casing, while the vertical arm of the fastening element has a first bend embedded in the recess of the metal plate (4) and, furthermore, in the lower part of the vertical arm of the fastening element there is a second bend, substantially U-shaped, corresponding in shape to the rail foot, while the horizontal arm of the fastening element ends with a substantially U-shaped bend adapted to be mounted on the rail foot.
