Abstract
The subject of the application is a system and method for determining the angle of rotation of a head mounted on a stationary base. In the system, a head (5) is rotatably mounted on a stationary base (3), and a polarizer (4) connected to a collimator (6) is mounted to the face of the stationary base (3), to which a broadband light source (1) is connected via an optical fiber (2), and a half-wave plate (8) is mounted in the head (5) on the face side of the stationary base (3). On the opposite side of the half-wave plate (8), a second stationary base (10) is mounted to the head (5), to the face of which, on the side of the half-wave plate (8), a lens (7) is mounted, connected to a second optical fiber (9) connected to a splitter (11). The system is characterized in that on the opposite side of the splitter (11) the third optical fiber (12) and the fourth optical fiber (15) with oblique Bragg gratings (13, 16) produced in their cores are connected. Each of the second ends of the third optical fiber (12) and the fourth optical fiber (15) is connected to a separate optical spectrum analyzer (14, 17), which is connected to the computing module (18), and the angle of rotation of the Bragg gratings (13, 16) relative to each other is from 15° to 30°.
