Abstract
The subject of the application is a system and method for measuring the angle of rotation of the polarization plane of light propagating in a gas. In the system, a collimator (2) is mounted in a shield (1) connected to an optical fiber (3) connected to a splitter (4). The system is characterized in that, on the opposite side of the splitter (4), a second optical fiber (5) and a third optical fiber (6) with oblique Bragg gratings (7, 8) produced in their cores are connected. Each of the second ends of the second optical fiber (5) and the third optical fiber (6) is connected to a separate optical spectrum analyzer (9, 10), which are connected to a computing module (11), and the angle of rotation of the Bragg gratings (7, 8) relative to each other is between 15° and 30°.
