Abstract
The subject of the application is a switched beam ERES patch antenna with a switchable radiation pattern based on a patch antenna comprising a base constituting a ground plane of the patch antenna, wherein the patch antenna is placed on a dielectric substrate whose lower side is fully or partially covered with a metallization constituting the ground plane. Furthermore, this patch antenna comprising an active element in the form of a patch constitutes a feed layer and comprises a switching layer located above the feed layer comprising at least one switched passive element (4) in the form of a patch and a ground conductive path (8).It is characterized in that the ERES reconfigurable antenna is closed with a metal housing in contact with the edges of the layers and in a cross-section adapted to their shape, and at least one switching section (5) is formed on the switching layer, comprising at least one switched passive element (4) associated with at least one switching edge key (7) in the form of an electronic element connected to a current-distributing circuit performing the function of connecting and disconnecting the switching section to the ground conductive path. The switching configurations are defined in the form of a control vector whose elements correspond to at least one switching section, wherein a control vector element value of "1" indicates that the at least one switched passive element belonging to the given switching section is electrically connected via a boundary switching key to the ground plane, while a control vector element value of "0" indicates that the switched passive element belonging to the given switching section is not electrically connected to the ground plane.
