Machine for cutting the stems of mushrooms, especially champignons

Abstract

A machine for cutting mushroom stems, especially champignons, has an elongated frame (1) with a string conveyor (2) mounted on it, with two strings (3) mutually parallel on rollers (4) and in the form of an endless belt. The string conveyor (2) is driven by an electric motor with a gearbox (5). The machine is equipped with a cutting unit that has at least two pairs of sharpened discs (6) with equal diameters "d1", each of which is mounted on an axle (7) with an individual drive, which is a micromotor with a gearbox (8). The discs (6) constituting one pair remain at the same level relative to each other and at a distance of approximately 0.5 mm. The distance "a" between the axes (7) of adjacent pairs of discs (6) is greater than 1 / 2 the sum of the diameters "d1" of the disc (6) and "d2" of the axis (7). The pairs of discs (6) are located below the upper line of the strings (3) and their position is adjustable.
