Abstract

The subject of the application is a biodegradable composite based on foamed biomass of plant origin, optionally with hygienizing properties, which contains at least 50 parts by weight of biomass in the form of products, waste, agricultural residues of plant origin, especially vegetable and / or fruit peelings and / or waste, or waste paper, and a maximum of 50 parts by weight of modifiers, and was obtained using microwave radiation. The biodegradable materials according to the invention are soft or hard plant composites, optionally with hygienizing properties, which can be used in the production of packaging protecting transported food or non-food products or as an insulating material.
